Chicken Pox/Varicela

John has Chicken Pox! Yes, that's right. It all started with my cousins. Only 3 days after arriving, Melanie started to get spots on her body, the weird thing about it is that she never got sick, never got a fever and never began to ache. She had a really, really, mild case even though she has never had the vaccine. 4 days after she got it, her brother Axel started showing signs as well, but he ended up getting it worse than her. It was all over his body and face (poor little guy). So I thought Lili and John might get it because they were in contact with their cousins the entire time they were staying with us (and even after). Last Thursday John got a short-lived fever and on Saturday I noticed a spot in his right leg and it looked like it might be chicken pox. On Sunday he got another spot on his head. The weird thing about it is that this whole time (starting Saturday) he has been getting some spots here and there, but they almost always end up disappearing. So far he has 3 that have stayed: one on his leg and 2 on his head...that's it. I took him to the doctor yesterday because I wanted to know for sure if it was chicken pox. The doctor said that she is 90% sure that it is chicken pox because of his symptoms. Now, this is not the end of the story. This morning when I was changing Lili I noticed she had a spot on her bum and tonight when I gave her a bath I noticed another one on her leg. I guess we will have to wait to see how she wakes up tomorrow (Mac thinks that she'll be alive).

John tiene Varicela!. Enserio.
