Cheap Entertainment/Entretenimiento Barato
Why pay for entertainment when I have plenty at home for FREE. John has been laughing a lot lately and today was no exception. It seems like he laughs the most with Lili and she loves to make him laugh. Today I was in the kitchen washing dishes and Lili and John started to laugh really hard. I stopped to see what they were doing and I just had to get the camera. Here it is.

7 Months old/7 Meses
John is 7 months old today. He is so cute! I can't believe he is 7 months already. Time flies! He has been eating solids for a month now and he loves them. He is now 16 LB and 27 and 1/2 inches. These are the foods he's been eating: sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, peas, squash, applesauce, bananas, rice cereal, oatmeal, barley, mixed cereals, and of course...his formula. Once in awhile he will drink some water. He's been trying to crawl. He gets on his hands and knees and bounces back and forth (Mac says: John's just revving-up) but then he gets on the floor and he army crawls. He has also been trying to sit up straight. He is also beginning to say Momma and Papa. Here is a funny video of John chasing Lili while she refuses to share her toys (John is really interested in Lili's slippers). Enjoy it!
Hoy John cumple 7 meses. Tambien empezo a decir Mama y Papa. Disfrutenlo!

6th Anniversary/6to Aniversario
Today, Mac and I celebrated our 6th anniversary. In the morning we left the kids with Nelson and Lorena and went to the Provo Temple. After going to the temple, we went to eat at Tucanos ( a Brazilian restaurant). The meat was SO GOOD. I ate 15 pieces of meat and I could have kept on eating but I knew I would feel sick if I didn't stop, so I decided to stop. After lunch we went to the movies and saw "The Nanny Diaries". I really liked it. When the movie was over we picked up the kids and went home, put the kids in their PJs and went on a nice walk all together. We really had a nice day. I am so glad I married Mac. He is a wonderful husband and father. Thank you Mac for these 6 years full of adventures (Mac says: You haven't seen nothin' yet) and I can't wait for the years to come. I LOVE YOU VERY, VERY MUCH! Happy Anniversary!

Visitor/Visita
Yesterday I got a phone call from my dad saying that he is coming for Conference. He gets here on September 25th and leaves October 9th. I'm so excited to see him. This will be the third time he's come this year. I'm being so spoiled and I love it.

Chicken Pox/Varicela
John has Chicken Pox! Yes, that's right. It all started with my cousins. Only 3 days after arriving, Melanie started to get spots on her body, the weird thing about it is that she never got sick, never got a fever and never began to ache. She had a really, really, mild case even though she has never had the vaccine. 4 days after she got it, her brother Axel started showing signs as well, but he ended up getting it worse than her. It was all over his body and face (poor little guy). So I thought Lili and John might get it because they were in contact with their cousins the entire time they were staying with us (and even after). Last Thursday John got a short-lived fever and on Saturday I noticed a spot in his right leg and it looked like it might be chicken pox. On Sunday he got another spot on his head. The weird thing about it is that this whole time (starting Saturday) he has been getting some spots here and there, but they almost always end up disappearing. So far he has 3 that have stayed: one on his leg and 2 on his head...that's it. I took him to the doctor yesterday because I wanted to know for sure if it was chicken pox. The doctor said that she is 90% sure that it is chicken pox because of his symptoms. Now, this is not the end of the story. This morning when I was changing Lili I noticed she had a spot on her bum and tonight when I gave her a bath I noticed another one on her leg. I guess we will have to wait to see how she wakes up tomorrow (Mac thinks that she'll be alive).
John tiene Varicela!. Enserio.

MTC/CCM
Today we went to the MTC for the orientation for my cousin. It was so cool to see all these young missionaries going to the MTC. We had a meeting and after it we said goodbye to my cousin. It is so sad to say goodbye but at the same time a wonderful feeling of peace because we know he is going to be doing something good.

Mission/Mision
Today we went to get my cousin Damian (Nelson's brother) at the airport. His mission call is to serve in the Missouri Independence Mission. He is going to the MTC tomorrow so he is staying the night with his brother. For dinner we went to Brick Oven in Provo where we had a delicious pizza called Chicken Deluxe (alfredo sauce, chicken, mozzarella, etc). After dinner we went to Nelson's house for family home evening. We had a great time. On Wednesday we are going to go to the MTC for the orientation that they have for the new missionaries and their families.

25 years old/25 años
Today I turned 25. I had a really good day. In the morning Mac, Lili, John, Nelson, Lorena, Melanie, Axel and I went on a walk to Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon. The kids loved it. After that we came home, left the kids with Scott and Sidra (thank you guys!), and Mac and I went to the movies. It's been so long since Mac and I went on a date. It was so nice to get some time away from the kids. We saw "The Born Ultimatm 3" (Mac says that it was actually called "The Bourne Ultimatum"). I really liked the movie. After the movie we went home, got some things ready and left to go to Rock Canyon Park in Provo where we got together with Nelson and his family, and Scott and his family. We had a really good time. We ate some empanadas, a yummy Argentine birthday-cake that my friend Adriana made for me and some "cookies and cream" ice cream that Scott and Sidra gave me for my birthday. I had a really good birthday. Happy Birthday to Me!
Me re gusto!.

A week/Una semana
We had my cousin Nelson, his wife Lorena and kids Melanie and Axel from Argentina staying with us for a week. Today they moved into their apartment in Wymount Terrace (BYU family housing). We had a great time with them and we really enjoyed having them stay with us. Here are some pictures from this week with my cousins.
Lorena and I took the kids outside in their swimming suits to play in the water but after only a minute of playing it started to rain so we came back inside and filled up the bathtub with water to let them play a little longer.

Something funny happened today. I was in the living room and John was in the kitchen playing in the Exersaucer. At one point I tought he was too quiet so I went to check on him and this is the way I found him. He was sleeping so I had Mac take a picture of him.

Together again/Juntos denuevo
Mac is back home!!! Yeah!! Today he got back from Argentina after being down there for 6 weeks. He went to Argentina for a seminar for school and also to do some research for his thesis. Yesterday night I couldn't go to sleep because I was so anxious for him to get back. Today Lili, John and I went to pick him up to the airport. Lili ran to him when she saw him. She gave him a big hug and didn't want to let go. When he wanted to hold John she wouldn't let him. We love you Mac and we are so happy to have you back home. We missed you so much!!!

Parade/Desfile
Today we went to the Pioneer Day's Parade in Ogden. Lili really liked it except when I got frustrated with her a couple of time because she was trying to open a backpack that belonged to the people that were seating in front of us. I think John was just enjoying being outside.

Today I gave John rice cereal for the first time. At first he didn't know what to do with the food in his mouth but after a couple of spoons he figured it out and loved it. He is so cute. I just love him so much.

Brain not working/Cerebro no funcionando
This morning while I was changing Lili she kept saying John, John, John. I didn't know why she was saying John's name. When I was about to put her pants on I realized that I put her on John's clothes. That is why she kept saying John. I started to laugh so hard. I couldn't believe it. I feel like my brain is dying since I became a mom (he, he, he). Here is a picture.

Lili's prayer/La oracion de Lili
While I was writting the last post about my friend's visit, Lili came to my room and got in my bed. I told her she could stay for just a little bit. She brought a couple of books and her baby doll with her. She sat next to me and watched what I was doing. After a couple of minutes Lili folded her arms and started to say a prayer. The only thing I understood she said was papa, mama, Lili, John and Amen. After she was done she made me fold my arms, made sure I had my eyes closed and then said another prayer. I guess I can say that this is the first time Lili said a prayer. I just Love Lili so much. This made me think that she really pays attention to the things I do and say. I hope I can be a good mother for her.
Amo tanto a Lili.

A good day/Un buen dia
Today I got together with a friend I haven't seen for a long time. Her name is Tamara and she is from Argentina. We know each other from Argentina. She came to my house with her baby Dallas. We had a really good time talking and eating pasta. She is amazing! Thank you Tamara for coming to my house. Here is a picture of Lili and Dallas. I actually have to tell you why I took this picture. Dallas was asleep in John's crib. He woke up but he was doing fine in the crib. Tamara was getting some things for me out of her car and I went to help her. Lili wanted to come outside with me so I told her to go watch Dallas for a minute so she wouldn't come outside. When Tamara and I went back inside the house, I found Lili inside the crib trying to give Dallas a bottle of milk. Lili you are so CUTE!!!

A dream come true/Un sueno hecho realidad
For those who don't know, right now, it is winter in Argentina. Well today my childhood dream came true. It snowed in my parents’ house. Yes, you heard me. I can't believe it. Growing up I’ve always dreamt of getting up and seeing snow outside. My parents had the honor to see that today. I'm so sad I wasn't able to be there to witness that. It also snowed in other parts of the country where it never snows. What a day!

Today it was a long, crazy, fun day. We had a family reunion at noon for Colleen's side of the family wich was up in Eden at the church bowery. It was really nice not having to drive far away since we had the other reunion for Doug's side of the family at 7:00 pm at Ann's house in Layton (Mac's Cousin). That made it posible for me to relax a little bit in between parties. At Colleen's family reunion we had lunch and played a lot of fun games. Lili enjoyed it very much and ate a lot of candy. John just kept smiling at everyone. For Doug's family reunion we had a pot luck dinner and a band called "Dark Horse" that played music during the reunion. People were dancing and having such a great time. They were both so much fun. I'm so glad I didn't miss the reunions.

A hot day at the pool/Un dia caluroso en la pileta
Finally we went swimming for the first time this year. We went to the Brigham City Pool. I went with Lili, John, Carly and Farrah. There we met with Holly and her kids, Nate (Carly's husband) and Adam and Natalie ( Nate's siblings). At first Lili wasn't very happy because she slept all the way to the pool and when we got there I had to wake her up. But once she got in the water and spent some time with Analyn she didn't want to get out. This was the first time we took John to the pool and he loved it. I brought him with me into the water and he started to move his feet around. What a fun time we had at the pool!! They have a big water slide and I decided to try it out and it was so much fun. This was the first time I went on one and it was really cool.
